Although I am not sure how to get your dream home if its not built already. But HOW I achieved my dream home. No matter what position you are in financially, DONT PUT YOUR THOUGHT TO IT!!! Go to your nearest paint store, I went to bejamin moore. Buy software that allows you to put your pictures (that you have taken) into the software and change the color of the paint inside and out. Change it until you have your perfect home. Save the picture and show the family, friends. Just keep checking out your dream home. You will remember the smell of the house the neighborhood. the feel of the floor as you walked through, opening the cupboards. All the details as your imagined where you would put everything. Just keep imagining until its so instilled in your mind that you know its your home. you walked through, you know what you will change after you bought it. And BAM 2-4 weeks later. Its yours. I have shared this with plenty of people. Told them to start by never ever looking at the price. You can grow your income to match the house if your worry about the price. The seller took the first offer, A huge raise fell into place to match my desired monthly needs and payments. Everythign fell into place. No POSITIVE thinking needed.
